The album full of photographs and sketches of costumes and scenery is a documentation of Tarkovsky creating his main cinematographic works. The introductory articles of Tarkovsky’s colleagues and associates, artists and photographers, made up his professional and creative circle, are accompanied by reproductions of the graphic works of the film director. The publication is supplemented by the chronology of Andrei Tarkovsky’s life, work and archival materials presented by the director’s letters and fragments of his autobiography.
